During the course of the evening, I had a number of conversations with single moms and dads; all expressed appreciation for the meal and interest in ArlingtonAnswers.com workshops.
Several shared a bit of their personal stories as well; their struggle to raise their kids and earn a living in a tough economy and a hostile world.

We had one lady who signed up (for the Family workshop “Parenting Your Child”) at the pool party that came only once — on our second-to-last week. We had the opportunity to pray with her and encourage her as well. She recognizes her need for the Lord. She stopped by our last class as we were cleaning up and apologized for not being able to come to our class. She asked when we would do it again, because she knew she needed it and really wanted to have another opportunity. She left with our number – and the ArlingtonAnswers.com website – and hopes to be sitting with us at church on Sunday.
We also had one very faithful attendee who was thrilled with Arlington Answers. She learned about it from a sign in someone’s yard. She felt she got a wealth of information and will encourage others to come when we get started again.

It was good to be a part of the job fair. I was able to pass along resumes to many of the employers and was also able to connect with a few of the recruiters there as a follow-up for companies I had already submitted applications online. I did attend the networking and interview workshops….great folks leading those!!
I appreciate you introducing me to your Pastor. I am grateful for him taking time to talk with me and to pray with me!
I’m sure it was a positive experience for all who attended. Please convey my sincere thanks to your organization/staff for providing a quality event. This is certainly not an easy time for us job seekers who have been laid off, so it was wonderful to feel welcomed, appreciated, comfortable (warm cookies and coffee..yum!) and given lots of encouragement and hope (help one person every day…I heard that phrase in the networking workshop).
