Women
Friends of Arlington Pregnancy Center
We provide needy women who test positive for pregnancy with a baby gift. This gift may include an outfit, booties, diapers, coupons, toys, blankets and information to help her in raising her child. These gifts are supplied through the generosity of supporters who have baby showers, birthday parties or who purchase gender neutral gifts.
We are always in need of: Gender neutral color baby clothes (no pink or blue, please) ~ Bibs ~ Booties ~ Bottles ~ Receiving blankets ~ Diapers (disposable – all sizes) ~ Rattles ~ Hooded towels ~ Wash cloths ~ Pacifiers ~ Small toys ~ Stuffed animals ~ Toiletries for Moms (small hotel shampoos, lotions, etc.)
The Arlington Pregnancy Centers opened their doors in 1984 and have assisted over 43,300 women in their 25 years of existence. We receive no government funds and are supported entirely by individuals, businesses and churches. Financial donations are always needed and may be made online.
We also offer a Bible to any woman who is interested in the gospel. Easy to understand translations of the Bible such as Women’s Life Bible (New King James Version) for example, are greatly needed.

Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries.
CURE International
It’s not an overstatement to call ourselves CURE International. We’ve focused on the 100 million children in developing countries who can be cured — and cured completely. We’re helping the kids with Hydrocephalus, Cleft Palate, Clubfoot, Spina Bifida and other spinal deformities, and crippling orthopedic conditions. 450,000 children have already had their lives transformed by CURE… and their families have experienced equally miraculous transformations.
CURE is passionate about the physical and spiritual healing of disabled children in developing countries. It is the foundation of what we have been doing for ten years.
Jimmy V Foundation
The V Foundation started with the dream of Jim Valvano, the passionate and committed former NC State basketball coach and award-winning broadcaster, as he battled cancer. Wanting to see the battle through to victory, Valvano recruited friends and family to lead The V Foundation in his quest to eradicate the disease that ultimately claimed his life. With a dire need for early developmental, critical-stage grant support, the Foundation was formed to assist the brilliant young researchers that will eventually find cures for cancer.
