Arlington Answers International

The International area of ArlingtonAnswers.com exists to help the residents of Arlington who have immigrated or traveled to America navigate a new culture.  Services include how to speak or enhance their ability to speak English, providing citizenship classes, incoming student needs and basic hospitality.

Below are the available International classes and workshops. All are free of charge!

English as a Second Language

English as a Second language classes are available for beginner through advanced learners beginning August 30, 2010. There are five levels of classes offered.

Monday lessons focus on “grammar and vocabulary”.
Wednesday lessons focus on “Conversation Practice”.

When: Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm

Where: Grace Community Church – Life Center, 801 West Bardin Road, Arlington TX 76017

The Big Howdy

uta big howdyA Big Howdy (Welcome) to UTA International Students!

We would like to welcome you to UTA. We are excited that you are here. We are a group of campus organizations, local churches and community volunteers who are here to help you as you transition to living in Arlington, Texas. We also try to help you make connections within the community so you can have the best possible educational and personal experience while in Arlington, Texas. We look forward to meeting you!!!

Some of the things we offer are:

  • Airport Pickup from Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas Airport (DFW) to UTA
  • CareAVan Shopping rides to Walmart store to get groceries and household items in this town without busses or trains
  • Used Item Sale to get inexpensive used furniture and household items
  • “Big Howdy Party” a wonderful and fun party for all of you international students to start off the year!!!
